WORLD CONGRESS "CAPPADOCIA OF THE LIVING MONUMENTS" It's the first time worldwide that so many institutions, Univercities, Professors and scientists are called to put down their aspects, their knowledge, the results of their studies around Cappadocia. That is the reson why the title of the congress is "Cappadocia of the Living Monuments" Living Monuments are history, language, everyday life, people. The congress will take place on August 25 to September 2, at the "Akontisma" traditional village at Nea Karvali, Kavala and it is organized by the Centre for Cappadocian Studies. There will take part professors and scientists, archaeologists, historicals, anthropologists, from the worlds greatest univercities. Schools that make studies, researches, excavations for many years in the region of Cappadocia. Their conclusions will be presented during the congress. The themes of the congress are: · Topography · History · Monuments · Fathers of Christianity · Monasteries · Folklore · Daily life · Recearch - Excavations · Results The scientific part of the congress, will be accompanied with the artistic part, which concludes exhibitions, projections, presentations and they peak at the end of the congress, where everyone who wishes, can travel to the land of Cappadocia.
